Gameface.

I was messing with my "myspace" page the other day..(something that I should do more often) and I come across a gameface fan site thru Jeff Caudill's page. As I'm getting closer and closer to leaving my twenties I've realized how much I miss being a kid. I can't think of any other band that has expressed that transition better than the punk band Gameface. I know...I guess I'm just a sentimental guy with feelings that pour out of my skin but this band made such a difference in my life growing up. And now that I realize the growing up part of life never ends, this band means much more. Call it emo or whatever but Jeff's lyrics take me back to a safe place in life...a place where worries and trouble go away with each thrash of a guitar string and thump of a bass petal. Every Last Time is arguable the bands greatest accomplishment and probably my favorite album besides the collection of releases on Three To Get Ready. anyway I changed my myspace song to greentree by Gameface. Listen to it if you get a chance and you will know what I'm taking about in this blog. Here is the Gameface site. http://www.myspace.com/itsanelectionyear

The Costumes

See!!! My Wife looks hot and I look like a retard! It is amazing that she still loves me even after wearing tights and super hero boots. I wish I had a better shot of her costume. She made it the night before the party. I helped out with the cutting of the skirt..which you can't see in this pic. But it turned out awesome...very batty. She also made me a green lantern ring out of clay which you also can not see in this pic. She is amazing. I'm beginning to think she actually is a super hero. I'm a very lucky man. She looked beautiful. (I know...I'm a freakin comic geek so of course I think my wife looks super hot as a super hero...geez I hope I don't have a fetish.)

Your Stress Level is: 48%

You are somewhat prone to stress, especially when life gets hard.

When things are good, you resist stressing over little problems.

But when things are difficult, you tend to freak out and find it hard to calm down.

Halloween Costume Picking...I hate IT!!!

Yep its that time of year again when gouls, ghosts and goblins come out looking for that pefect Halloween costume. Its also that time of year when many go crazy trying to figure out what they want be for the occasion. Its the most strenuous process counting your pennies realizing you can't afford the super deluxe Darth Vader costume which would impress the crap out of your friends and family members. One hurts deeply when you rummage thru your wife's art supply drawers hoping and pleading with the costume gods that you will find the key to a brilliant idea for a costume only to find yarn and yarn and yarn. (my wife knits..alot)
So you leave work every evening, battling with the cold October winds of New York City, cramming yourself up next to the guy that smells like piss in the subway just to get to Rickey's and realize that the Batman costume you so desperately wanted look and feels like crap. Plus they don't have your size anyway. ARGGGH! So you get back on the subway and sit next to a women who can't stop talking to her dog which she has in a hand-bag and you begin to envy her because she does not even need to go thru the hell of costume hunting. She is Dorothy with Toto from the Wizard of Oz or Paris Hilton with her piece of shit dog...both great costumes for Halloween.
Finally I found success by piecing together a Green Lantern costume shirt, boots, tights and ring only to come home and have my gay roommate express how cool it was that I was portraying a Homosexual Icon for Halloween. Well GREAT! Its too late now. I am that comic book gay icon Green Lantern for this year. Mean while my wife will be looking all hot as Batgirl. Somehow she used that yarn and made this amazing outfit. I suck.

One More. Believe, Met Fans, BELIEVE!

JUMP UP MET FANS! A little love from the fans at home and our NY Mets are right back in it looking great. Once again it is not the time to second guess our game seven pitcher, Oliver Perez. No. It is time for us to finally accept him as a Met! I've doubted him from the very first time he dawned a Met uniform and until now...Until today I've had little to no confidence in him. Not anymore. This guy can throw a shut out if he wants. He can go eight innings if he wants. He can command this game if he wants. And today I believe he WANTS to do all of those things. Believe in him. Believe in your Mets. We are one win away and tonight is our night.

Keep your heads up MET FANS!

Keep yer chin up Mr. Wright! Normally I'm the guy that says its over when a little poor play pushes my team back against the wall. But I'm not doing that today. I love this team and this team loves the game of baseball. I know they will not give up now. We are at home my friends..and what a better way to win a series. Don't give up on your METS! They can do this. They are the Amazins! Believe!
I still Believe.

My first blog. These lovely people making funny faces are my wife and son. We were attending a Lancaster Barnstormers baseball game at the time and they were showing me their aggressive game faces. As a result the Barnstormers won the game and eventually won the championship later this year.
